Jaime very kindly brought in some x-rays and a book about the human body to share. He became 'Doctor' Cortes to explain to the rest of the class what the x-rays showed and how they were made before taking any questions. Well done Jaime, we all enjoyed what you shared and had to tell us (and thank you to your family for the x-rays).
We explored what we already knew about bone names and locations by labelling a skeleton. We carried out a test to see whether the taller a person is, the larger their bones are. Everyone made a model of an arm to show that muscles work in pairs to move a bone inside the arm by alternately contracting and relaxing. We compared our models to see how they worked and how they had been made:
